SCENARIO: National Elevator Inspection Services is the largest elevator inspection company in the nation. Management saw the need to improve their internal work order processing system to better manage inspection scheduling and invoicing from remote offices. |
 |
ISSUE: National Elevator is organized into regional offices for archiving, scheduling and billing purposes. This regional structure allows each office to focus on the needs of local customers. However this process slows operation due to decentralized archives of inspections and contracts. National Elevator incurred significant expenses moving paperwork between the central office and the regional offices. |
OUR APPROACH: AppointLink created a secure web based portal to allow regional offices to access invoices, work orders, and other reports necessary for scheduling and billing. In addition, the system also allows access to document archives and billing work flow functions. |
RESULTS: National Elevator realized a reduction in mailing and administrative expenses by using integrated web applications to generate reports from remote locations. Daily operations were streamlined and collaboration was achieved. Regional offices now receive invoices and work orders in a timely fashion, synchronizing work objectives. |
VALUE: National Elevator added value to their company by:
- Reducing expenses related to manual processing.
- Improving cash flow by forgoing the mailing of invoices and making reports readily available to decision makers via the web.
- Reducing overall shipping costs.
- Correcting system deficiencies in the area of communication and collaboration.
