SCENARIO:
AMSL is a local company that supplies woodwork for high end residential, restoration, and commercial office markets. The company was looking to increase sales by creating an online product catalog and to simplify the order process for the client. AMSL believed allowing architects to add products directly to electronic architectural designs (AutoCAD) would increase sales.
ISSUE:
AMSL wanted a simple web catalog to allow architects to select and view various product lines and immediately work them into their design plans.
OUR APPROACH:
After thorough analysis, AppointLink developed an online catalog with drag and drop capabilities. This design utilized custom web pages with AutoDesk's i-Drop technology. Millwork products are selected and dragged into the AutoCAD application, product information including item number, finish, and style are included within the drawing for product ordering purposes.
RESULTS:
AppointLink delivered an online product catalog that allows AutoCAD users to use custom molding profiles in their architectural renderings. AMSL received a successful marketing and sales tool that encourages architects to promote AMSL products to builders.
VALUE:
The result created additional sales for AMSL by simplifying the material selection process. This attractive and easy to use interface doubles as an effective marketing tool to promote the company's background and products.
